Welcome to the Walton Band Program!

The Walton Band program consists of over 350 students in four concert bands, three jazz bands, two percussion ensembles, student-led ensembles, winter guard, and the Walton Marching Raider Band. The Walton Wind Symphony and the Symphonic Band often perform at larger events within the state.

The Walton Marching Raider Band is a recipient of the Sudler Shield by the John Phillip Sousa Foundation and has participated in many prestigious events and parades through the years, including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade, and numerous Bowl game performances. The Walton Marching Raider Band also has a long record of success in competition, including numerous local Grand Championships, consistent finalists in Bands of America Regional and SuperRegional competitions, and a three-time semi-finalist at the Bands of America Grand National Championships.

The Walton Band Parent Association, often referred to as the Band Boosters, is the organization that supports our band students and includes ALL parents. The support of band families like yours allows the band directors to focus on developing the talent of our students by coordinating activities for the band and by providing additional resources where necessary. We work closely with the band directors, who are also members of the WBPA, to assist them in any way possible.
