Key Dates to Remember
April 15 - 18 — Spring Training & Color Guard Auditions @ Walton
REGISTRATION FORM: https://forms.gle/
April 16 — Rising Ninth Grade Parent Social, 6:30pm in D Lot at Walton HS above PRIDE field (drive behind the school on the theater end - you'll see us!)
April 20 — Walton Spring Concert (12-2p) and Commitment Day (sign up by this date to save $50!)
May 28 - 31 — Marching Band Mini-Camp (Times TBD)
July 11 - 24 — Marching Band Camps at Walton (these dates are mandatory for marching students)
-no rehearsals on weekends during these dates
*Band Placement Auditions:
Please note that auditions are optional for 8th Grade students. 8th Grade students who do not audition will be placed in a band course based on middle school director recommendations. 8th Grade students do not need to sign up in advance for an audition time. What is the difference between band and marching band?
Band is taken during the school day as an elective in your academic schedule. Marching Band is a co-curricular activity. You don’t have to march to take band, but you must take band class to march unless you are in Color Guard.

Our marching band traveled recently to Washington, DC where they marched and performed in the National Cherry Blossom Parade. They were the featured band and scored a spot on Good Morning America! Watch the clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOuKOmKIUd8
