2025 Walton Jr Raider (Middle School) Winter Guard Registration

Our Walton Junior Raider Winter Guard is available to any student currently in Grades 6-8 at Dodgen or Dickerson Middle Schools. This program will work directly with our two Walton color guard coaches, primarily focusing on dance and equipment fundamentals, and most importantly, having fun while participating! This group is open to students without prior experience!

Uniforms

Instead of a separate uniform purchase, for both JV and Junior Raiders we are requiring our Walton Color Guard warm up jackets and pants to be purchased as the uniform. This will be a required expense once in the high school guard, so we recommend purchasing this on the larger size.

Important Notes

The non-refundable $200 participation fee helps offset the cost of instruction, facility rental, and equipment.
All payments must be made online at waltonband.org.
Please wear comfortable clothes, leggings (something you can move around in). Sturdy athletic sneakers are suggested.

Participation Disclaimers

I understand that my student must abide by all rules, regulations, and policies set forth by Cobb County Schools, Walton High School, and the Walton High School Band, and that all infractions of the above will be dealt with according to stated policies. Continuous behavior infractions or the misuse of equipment could result in my student being dismissed from the Winter Guard program.

There will be one or two certified CCSD staff members and one parent chaperone present for all rehearsals for basic first aid. By registering my student and them participating in this program, I will not hold the band directors, staff members, chaperones, or Walton High School Band Parent Association responsible for any unlikely but possible injuries related to this program.

As the parent/guardian of the above student, I acknowledge and agree to support my child in all junior guard activities, and I will ensure that payment is made promptly.
